XLANCE presents new bio-circular yarn at PV Denim
XLANCE, which markets a polyolefin-based stretch fibre, has been quietly working on the development of a biobased version of the high-performance elastic yarn. At PV Denim this week, the Italian company will present a ‘greener’ XLANCE yarn that is fully derived from waste vegetable oil recovered from the catering sector. It is also available on a fully commercial scale, Inside Denim has been told.
“This fibre truly challenges the virgin polymer: the natural textile hand, resilience, and durability remain unchanged, but it has a radically reduced environmental footprint,” the company said in a statement.
