China deal to boost Lycra’s renewable content-containing fibre

The Lycra Company has announced a strategic partnership with Texhong International Group for its fibre made with around 30% renewable content.

Texhong, one of the world’s largest suppliers of core-spun cotton textiles, will exclusively partner with Lycra to bring the content to China’s core-spun yarn sector, with the aim of accelerating its adoption across the apparel industry.

Jason Wang, vice president of Asia at Lycra, said: “Renewable Lycra fibre already boasts a mature foundation for commercial adoption. The partnership with Texhong will further expand its industrial scale.”
