New digital device by Vizoo wins Texprocess innovation award

Textile digitalisation specialist Vizoo picked up an innovation award at Texprocess, on this week in Frankfurt, for a new device called Cast. True to its mission to reduce lead times and physical samples, the Munich-based company’s newest fabric sampling solution can be useful both online and in-house. During remote or video conversations, it can be used to display different fabric options, in high-resolution quality, to help speed up decision-making. On site, a company can use its AI features to display a fabric on a rendering of a finished product and in its contextual environment.

Vizoo managing director Renate Eder presented the new device at a pitch session at Texprocess, noting that Cast helps “narrow down sample selections” and thus help brands save on lead times and prototyping.

Ms Eder insisted that Cast is easy to use and does not require any advanced knowledge of 3D or design software. “We’ve designed Cast to be intuitive to use,” she said. The device is sold on the basis of a one-time fee, while the software is available on a subscription model.

Vizoo’s xTex device, a textile scanner that renders a fabric’s texture, is being used by 500+ companies said Ms Eder.
