Kontoor expands leadership roles
Wrangler and Lee-owner Kontoor Brands has promoted Joseph Alkire to head of Helly Hansen, in addition to his responsibilities as group chief financial officer and global head of operations.
Group CEO Scott Baxter said: “Joe has been my strategic partner since the early stages of the acquisition, leveraging our collective experience in the outdoor category to shape the role Helly Hansen will play in Kontoor's next phase of growth.
“There is no one better positioned to guide the Helly Hansen brand forward as we focus on creating broad-based momentum, positioning the brand to deliver strong revenue and profit growth over time.”
The group has also appointed Erinn Murphy has head of finance and operations for Helly Hansen. Ms Murphy will take an international assignment in Oslo, Norway as well as oversee corporate investor relations. She joins from Crocs, where she served as senior vice president, investor relations and corporate strategy.
Her appointment coincides with an expanded role for Michael Karapetian, who will serve as vice-president, global brand and operations finance and corporate investor relations. He will return from his international assignment at Helly Hansen in the third quarter of 2026 to allow for a transition period.
