London Design Hub will boost flexibility for Arvind

India-based textile and clothes manufacturer Arvind Limited is opening a Design Hub in London, to focus on customer engagement, trend insights and product development.

The launch also aligns with the anticipated implementation of the UK–India Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, which is expected to strengthen bilateral trade opportunities for India’s textile and apparel sector. 

Arvind also setting up a UAE subsidiary in the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone), which will coordinate sourcing, manufacturing integration, logistics management and regional market access

Punit Lalbhai, vice-chairman of Arvind (pictured), said: “By bringing design, sourcing and execution closer to key international markets, we are enhancing our ability to deliver speed, flexibility, quality and responsible manufacturing solutions to global brands.” 

Rakesh Chadha has been appointed managing director of Arvind Atelier. He said: “London will serve as a strategic hub connecting Arvind’s innovation capabilities with Europe’s dynamic fashion ecosystem. The model is designed to enable closer collaboration with customers and support faster, market-responsive product development.” 

Arvind Atelier will operate as an integrated sourcing platform across denim, casual wear, shirts, knits, sweaters, essentials and activewear, enabling brands to consolidate multiple product categories.

In FY25, the company’s garmenting division produced approximately 37 million pieces, while woven fabric volumes reached 128 million metres. Annual denim fabric capacity exceeded 110 million metres. 

Arvind reported revenue of Rs 8,329 crore ($975.2 million) in FY25.
