Denim Deal aims to accelerate through new partnership
The Denim Deal has partnered “global sourcing infrastructure” World Collective with the aim of expanding the reach of suppliers and materials aligned with its circularity criteria.
Launched in 2020 as the Dutch Denim Deal, the initiative expanded globally in 2024, aiming to grow from its original mission to produce 3 million garments over a three-year period with at least 20% post-consumer recycled (PCR) cotton to 1 billion in 2030. The Deal now includes 65 signatories and partners across the globe.
The new partnership aims to expand to “an active year-round sourcing channel, making PCR cotton fabrics widely accessible and easy to source”.
Jeanine Ballone, CEO at World Collective, said: “Denim Deal has built an important mission and a strong community around it. Our role is to help extend that work by onboarding more suppliers, increasing access to aligned materials, and creating a more visible, active and globally connected sourcing ecosystem that allows more brands to participate.”
