Sophie and Halit talk circularity at Performance Days
Halit Gümüser, managing director of Turkey’s Kipas, joined Inside Denim’s Sophie Bramel at textiles trade show Performance Days to discuss the future of textiles recycling.
Mette Kirk Jensen, from automated textile sorting systems developer NewRetex, and Stefan Edkvist from Chinese recycled polyester maker Reo Eco joined the pair for ‘Circular Textiles: What is needed to unlock post-consumer feedstock?’
Mr Gümüser spoke of his new textile-to-textile division, FibR-e, which Inside Denim will cover in more detail in our upcoming issue.
Sophie said she was pleased to moderate a discussion among speakers who have “true on-the-ground experience” of developing ideas and systems for handling difficult issues such as sorting and pre-processing.
